America's
most wanted man Christopher Dorner was believed to have died as a mountain
cabin he was holed up in was engulfed in flames following a raging gun battle
with police. Detectives refused to confirm early
reports that a charred body was found inside the burning wreckage, but no-one
was seen escaping from the building.
Firefighters said
it was still "too hot" to go inside as the cabin continued to
smoulder in the snow, and explosions thought to be caused by live ammunition
were heard.
On February 3 he
is alleged to have shot dead Monica Quan, 28, the daughter of a retired police
captain, and her fiancé Keith Lawrence, 27. Four days later he allegedly
ambushed two other officers at a traffic light, killing one, Michael Crain, 34,
a veteran, and wounding the other, a trainee.
Dorner was
believed to have barricaded himself inside the cabin for a final stand,
bringing to an end a six-day manhunt in a picturesque skiing area east of Los
Angeles. After a chaotic end to the hunt the last movements of the sacked LAPD
police officer, who had declared "war" on his own force, were slowly
being pieced together.
Aww, what can I say;.,,speechless.
